GARDEN GROVE, Orange County — November 3, 2026. Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton planned to gather with supporters at an election-night watch party in Garden Grove, according to a television report from Southern California. Earlier Tuesday, he made a final campaign appearance in Huntington Beach, where he discussed affordability and his proposed changes to state policy.
Hilton’s final message
In an interview shown during the report, Hilton outlined proposals including lower gasoline prices, reduced vehicle registration costs and an income-tax exemption for the first $150,000 of income. These are campaign proposals, not policies currently in effect; implementation would depend on legal and legislative constraints.
Hilton also said he would be willing to disagree with President Donald Trump on particular issues. The report described his campaign’s emphasis on working families, business costs and homeownership.
Watch party versus voting location
Garden Grove was identified as the planned election-night gathering, not the place Hilton cast his ballot. The broadcast described his campaign stop in Huntington Beach, not an Election Day voting appearance there. California58 will distinguish campaign stops, polling locations and results events.
